Digital communications leadership for complex organisations.

I make complicated information understandable, useful and engaging — through digital platforms, editorial strategy and visual storytelling.

01 / Digital leadership at UNHCR 2020–2025

A global platform.
A clearer way forward.

A useful intranet needs more than a working content management system. It needs priorities, trusted guidance and people who know how to publish well.

I led the editorial direction and business-side ownership of UNHCR’s global intranet: supervising a small central team, supporting 250+ publishing focal points and working with senior stakeholders on what staff needed to find.

From retiring the UNHCR Manual to making films in the field: the decisions, conversations and practical detail behind the finished work.

02 / Case study: OSCE in Ukraine

Clarity when the stakes are high.

A new monitoring mission. Intense public scrutiny. A mandate that was easy to misunderstand.

As the OSCE responded to the crisis in and around Ukraine, I helped establish the mission’s digital presence and explain the work of its unarmed civilian monitors.

The work brought together identity, web publishing, explanatory films and multilingual content, with close coordination between headquarters and the field.

03 / Case study: OSCE Stories, Real Lives

Big mandates.
Individual lives.

Field storytelling that makes international work tangible through the people it affects.

I pitched and ran a series about the human impact of OSCE field work. Working with local teams, I travelled to Kyrgyzstan to film and interview, then scripted the stories and produced English and local-language versions.

04 / Explaining the OSCE

An organisation explained.
In nine languages.

Two films that helped people understand what the OSCE does, across languages and over time.

I developed scripts, secured institutional agreement and guided external animation partners. The work combined editorial judgement, commissioning and multilingual production.

07 / About

Judgement, then craft.

I’ve worked across UNHCR, the OSCE, LSE and the BBC. The setting changes; the questions are familiar. What does the audience need? Who owns the information? What will make it clear enough to act on?

My work combines setting priorities and helping colleagues deliver with the practical craft of editing, designing, filming and publishing. I’m comfortable in the detail, and interested in how the whole service works.
